I have to start with this mod, although it doesn’t really change the loading screens directly.
But you might want to get it installed before adding any of the other mods on this list.
See, this mod fixes that annoying issue that sometimes occur where the loading screens never seem to work properly. And it makes them go away as soon as the loading time finishes.
It’s a small fix that’ll save more time than you think. Gone are the days of having to restart your game once every few hours. 14. Loading Screens ArtworksSkyrim Loading Screen Mod Se
We have all grown to associate Skyrim loading screens with those 3D models of creatures, weapons, or items that simply spin around your screen.

I have an old, not for me actually, MacBook Pro which I purchased at the end of 2010. I was expecting Apple won’t drop the support of Mojave for MacBook Pro 2010 model, at least not for this time. But I was wrong. The latest Majove doesn’t support it too.
There is no need to worry. Even the oldest Windows 95 can be installed on Mac computer. There is a solution to every problem.
I don’t want to upgrade my MacBook Pro right now, especially when a new model is rumored to be released in next month.
Another choice for me was to buy a graphics card which supports Metal. In fact, it was the most feasible solution for to get installed Majove on my unsupported Mac right now.
Metal is natively supported by all Macs introduced since 2012. It means the following Nvidia, AMD and Intel family cards are compatible.
-Intel HD Graphics 400, Iris 5000 & 6000 family
-Nvidia GT 600M, 700M family
-AMD R9 M family
To check which GPU (graphics processing unit) is installed on your Mac computer, click on the Apple icon in the top left corner and then click on “About This Mac”.
There are a number of third-party vendors which sell graphics cards with integrated Metal support specifically designed for Mac computers. While searching for a compatible graphics card, I found that I could install Mojave on my MacBook Pro Mid 2010 model by using a software known as macOS Mojave Patcher Tool. Kudos to DosDude1 who developed tested, and released it as a free app.
By using this software, we could install the latest macOS version on early 2008 Macs.
Here is the step by step method to run Mojave on unsupported Macs.
The whole process can be divided into four parts.

MacOS Mojave software can be downloaded as an Installer App from Mac App Store using the computer which supports Mojave.
If you don’t have Mojave supported Mac, you can download the Mojave Installer App using patcher tool. Open the macOS Mojave patcher tool. If it doesn’t open and says it is from an unidentified developer, right click on the tool’s icon and click on “Open” from sub-menu and then enter your Mac’s Admin name and password. After the verification, you can open it with the left double-click.
If you don’t remember your macOS password, here are the solutions to reset it.
Go to Tools in the Menu bar and then hit “Download macOS Mojave”.
I recommend using the built-in downloader tool because it will download the latest and the compatible Installer app.
Mojave Installer app is about 5-6GB in size and it may take some time depending on the speed of your internet.
If the internet connection interrupts while downloading the file, don’t worry. The downloading process will resume where it left. Simply download the Mojave software again but point it to the same location where you were already downloading and saving the installer app.Part 3: Create a Bootable Mojave USB Drive

If you don’t want to install Mojave on current volume, you can also create a new partition and install it there. Mojave takes approximately 18GB space on hard drive. So at least make a 25GB partition to test the new macOS.

Step 5: Select the volume and press “Continue” to begin the installation process.
Step 6: The installation process takes about 20 minutes to complete. When it is done, reboot your Mac back into installer drive while holding down the “Option” key again.
Step 7: This time select “macOS Post Install” app from the bottom left panel.
Step 8: Select the model of your computer and the volume on which you installed Mojave and then click the “Patch” button. The tool will automatically select the required patches according to the model of your computer.
Step 9: Press the “Reboot” button when the patch is complete.
Step 10: The computer will reboot with macOS Mojave installed on it.
Step 11. If it doesn’t work properly on the restart, boot your Mac back into the installer USB drive, select macOS Post Install again, and this time also select “Force Cache Rebuild” option. Once the patch is complete and the cache is rebuilt, reboot.
Step 12: Upon restart, complete the setup process and start using your Mac with a Mojave operating system.

Use Shared Optical Drive From Another Computer
This will be different depending on what kind of computer you use as the source optical drive. If it is a Windows computer it will require setting up the optical drive (CD or DVD drive) as a shared resource in Windows. The best way to do that is open Windows Explorer and right click the drive. If there is no Windows PC available, then this is now very easy in the most recent versions of OS X. Open System Preferences from the Apple Menu. Click on the Sharing app. The list on the left has one item called DVD or CD Sharing. Check the box next to it. For safety’s sake check the box that says “Ask me before allowing others to use my CD drive.” Now your drive should be seen by your MacBook Air.
Now from a Finder window click on the Go menu and select Network. You should see the computer’s name with the shared optical drive. You can open it from there and install the software that way.Buy an External Optical Drive
This is the simplest solution, but will cost more money. If you don’t have another computer, it may be the only solution unless another computer is borrowed.
The key is finding a drive that is compatible with OS X and plugging it into the MacBook Air via a USB port. You can always get Apple’s MacBook Air SuperDrive. It costs $79 and only works on a Mac. Another option is to get a more generic drive that can be used on both a Windows and Mac.
When shopping just make sure it works with both Windows and Mac. One option is the LG Portable Super Multi Drive with model number GP08NU6B. We can confirm that it does work with the MacBook Air and it costs just $44.65 on Amazon, a savings of about $35 off the SuperDrive. It may not be the fastest or best drive. But since it is unlikely you will be using this drive a lot, something inexpensive like this will work fine. It connects via single USB port and gets its power via the same cable it connects with. It comes with a cable that has both a data USB connection and another USB connector for just power. But the second USB connection is not needed, which is good since the USB ports are on opposite sides of the MacBook Air and the cable will not reach to plug in both connectors.Make a Disc Image On Another Mac
If you don’t want to share over a network and don’t want to pay for an external drive, one solution could be to just make an image of the optical disc you wish to access on the MacBook Air. The following summarizes the steps from Wikihow.
On another another Mac with an optical drive, first make a new folder somewhere to store your files from the disc and then copy the files into that folder. Now right click on the folder and choose Get Info. Take note of the total size of tall the contents in the folder. You will need this info in the next step.
Now open the Disk Utility. It is in the Utilities folder of the Applications folder, or open spotlight and start typing the name till it appears. Click on New Image to make a new image. Enter the name and size from the previous step. Add a little extra room. For example if the files total 356MB, then choose something like 400MB. Set encryption to None and Format to “read/write disk image” or “DVD/CD Master”.
A newly mounted disc will appear on the desktop. Just drag the files into that image. Now you can drag that image onto a USB flash drive and use it to install the software on the MacBook Air.Look for a Downloadable Version
Obviously, this is the simplest solution if you have Internet access and can find the software. Many applications that can be purchased on CD can also be downloaded. For example, we installed Photoshop Elements using the downloaded version from Adobe. After a few days of use we felt like it was a good solution for image editing and purchased a copy during the recent Black Friday deals. Staples had it for much less than Adobe did. So we bought the boxed disc and just used the serial number to activate the trial version downloaded from Adobe.
Look at the web site for the company that makes the software you wish to install and see if this is possible. One problem you might face is some companies don’t use serial numbers. They have two separate downloads – one as a trial version and one is a full version that can only be accessed after paying the company. If you have already purchased the disc see if you can take it back and buy it directly instead. Most stores will accept returns of software if it has not been opened at all. If the box has been opened you are stuck. Buying directly can sometimes cost more, but could be worth a few more dollars for the convenience of having a download to deal with.Backup Your Software
The result of the above steps mean you will have your MacBook Air software on something other than just optical discs. It is good to backup your software and backup doesn’t mean that you have it stored in one file or disc somewhere. I’ve been testing the US$999 version of the MacBook Air with Apple’s new M1 chip for the past several days, and it’s faster and offers better battery life than what equivalent Intel models offered, writes Todd Haselton of CNBC.
Companies like Microsoft have also issued laptops with lower-powered Arm-based processors from Qualcomm and others, but those computers tended to come with a lot of compromises. Microsoft’s Surface Pro X, for example, did not always support legacy apps, was not as powerful, and had poor battery life compared with Intel-based Windows computers. Based on my testing, the MacBook Air avoids those kinds of compromises.
Apple did make a lot of wild promises about its new M1 chip. It said it is faster than 98 percent of the laptops sold in the last year (which may be true, given that many are low-cost Chromebooks and entry-level Windows computers). It also promises up to five times faster graphics for some tasks and all-day battery life. I couldn’t verify all those claims, but it is noticeably faster than its predecessors.
It is also the first Mac to run iPhone and iPad apps, but does not have a touch screen, which means those apps are not particularly useful, and there is a limited selection anyway. It feels like a fast laptop, not some kind of dramatic new hybrid like the first Surface was. But long term, the new chip opens doors for Apple to make touch-screen Macs that let you interact with apps without a mouse or keyboard. Or maybe it’s laying the foundation for some sort of iPad that can run both Mac and iPad apps.
Here’s what you need to know about the new MacBook Air.
The new MacBook Air looks identical to the model Apple launched in March. It has the same keyboard, which fixed a lot of reliability problems with the one that Apple had been using since 2015.
The biggest change you might notice on first glance is the screen, which is now just as colorful as the one on Apple’s more expensive MacBook Pro laptops. It helps images and videos look more accurate and will be useful for folks who want to edit visual content on the MacBook Air.
In fact, the new MacBook Air is capable of editing videos with pro-level software like Final Cut 10.5 – in the past, many professionals have relied on the US$1,299 MacBook Pro for video editing. I tested some editing on it and found that the laptop easily handled scrubbing through a 4K video without any hiccups I’d normally see on the previous-generation MacBook Air with an Intel chip.
I ran a few software tests just to see how much faster the new MacBook is and if it met some of Apple’s claims. Using software that measures the power of the processor, called Geekbench, I found the new MacBook Air to be twice as fast as the Intel-based equivalent model at some tasks and more than three times as fast at others.
I repeated these tests in some real-world environments, like in the game Shadow of the Tomb Raider. I don’t think folks normally think of Macs as gaming systems, but Apple’s website says the game runs 3.5 times faster than the MacBook Air.
That is true: the old MacBook Air can barely run the game while the new MacBook Air can run it fine and on higher graphics settings. That game is 2 years old, though, so I still wouldn’t think of the Mac as a powerhouse compared with laptops with dedicated graphics chips from Nvidia or AMD. But, it is more powerful than the Intel’s embedded graphics.
Apps open quickly, too, but are more on par with the MacBook Air from earlier this year. I didn’t notice any sort of slowdown even when I had lots of tabs open in the browser and about a dozen different apps open.
The new MacBook Air has longer battery life than the Intel models, too, despite the faster chip. I turned it on at 9:15 a.m. and still had 28 percent at 6:12 p.m. after using it most of the day, running benchmarks and watching a nearly two-hour movie in 1080p. Apple promises up to 18 hours of battery life if you are just watching a movie, versus 12 hours on the last MacBook Air. But how you use your computer will drastically change the battery life. I think most folks will get a full day.
It is really quiet, too, since there’s no fan inside to kick on while you’re in the middle of work. But that comes at a cost: the bottom gets pretty hot.What Software Do I Need To Download On A New Macbook Air Pro
The chip change does not break any old apps – at least the ones I use – you can still run the ones that were designed for older Macs. I was able to download and open a bunch of apps from third parties that were not built for M1, like Spotify, Cisco AnyConnect, Geekbench and Google Chrome. They worked just fine. New versions of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator optimized for M1 chips are coming later.
The M1 chip also lets the MacBook Air run some iPhone and iPad apps, but a lot of app makers have opted out from having their apps published. I found some apps I use regularly on my iPhone, like the calorie-counting app “Lose It,” CNBC and HBO Max, but there are no apps for Instagram, any of Google’s products, Netflix or Hulu, which is kind of a bummer.
Also, the iPhone and iPad apps that do work on the new Mac are fairly limited – you can’t make HBO Max full screen, for example. Moreover, most of these apps are designed around a touch screen, so unless Apple adds one to a future Mac, this feature is mostly a novelty and an easy way to use apps that otherwise were not available on Mac.
On a strict design level, there’s not much “wow” factor here.
The new MacBook Air still looks and feels exactly like the last MacBook Air, just with a faster processor, better screen, support for iPhone/iPad apps and longer battery life. Those are great improvements, but they probably are not going to drive a lot of upgrades in the short term.What Software Do I Need To Download On A New Macbook Air Louder
The M1 MacBook Air only supports one external monitor instead of two like on the last MacBook Air. I use two additional screens every day, so people who have a similar work flow might be upset about this. Also, while the 720p webcam offers sharper and clearer video thanks to additional smarts from the M1, it’s still a lower resolution than what you’ll find on other computers, like the Microsoft Surface, which has a 5MP camera. It is fine for FaceTime, though.
I also could not test every app out there in the week or so I had with the new MacBook Air. So there may be apps that don’t run properly on the new M1 chip yet. Your mileage may vary, though all of the apps I use for work and play ran fine.
I am also a little peeved that I spent US$999 on a MacBook Air back in March only to have it replaced by a faster model with a better screen and more apps just eight months later. I guess that’s the pace of technology, but it still stings for people like me who expect a new product to be state-of-the-art for at least a year before it’s replaced.
I tested the US$999 MacBook Air and think it’s a great buy for the price if you need a new computer. I was pretty blown away by how powerful it felt compared with Intel models, and I think people will be pleasantly surprised to see it can handle tasks like video editing compared with previous models.
But, if you’re just starting to think about new MacBooks, you may want to wait a little bit. It seems like there’s a lot of power here to enable new features that could launch in versions of the MacBook Air with a new design, perhaps with touch screens, a better camera and new options like Face ID.
At the rate Apple’s releasing new computers, you might not have to wait long.

Go to the Oracle website. You’ll see something like this:

Scroll down until you see a heading beginning ’Java SE 8u65/8u66.’ On the right, you’ll see a Download button under the JDK header. Click it. The next screen will look like this:
Click the radio button next to ’Accept License Agreement’ and then click on jdk-8u65-macosx-x64.dmg. You’ll be asked whether to save the file that is going to be downloaded; click on Save File.

Open your Downloads folder, and double-click on jdk-8u65-macosx-x64.dmg. You’ll see this window:

Double-click on the package icon, and follow the instructions to install. When the installation has completed, click on Done. At this point, you may close up the window and drag jdk-8u65-macosx-x64.dmg to the Trash.Installing Eclipse

If you already have Eclipse installed on your Mac, you need to get rid of it. To do so, first quit Eclipse if you’re currently running it. Then, go to your workspace folder (probably in Documents/workspace) and save anything there that you want to keep, because you’re about to get rid of this folder. Next, drag the workspace folder to the Trash.
Go to your Applications folder. One way to get there is, from the Finder, type command-shift-A. You’ll a folder named eclipse in there; drag the eclipse folder to the Trash. If you have an Eclipse icon in your dock, remove it from the dock.

Now you’re ready to download and install the newest version of Eclipse. Go to this website. You’ll see a window like this:
Scroll down until you see ’Eclipse IDE for Java Developers’ and click where it says 64 bit under Mac OS X.

You will see this window:
Click on the yellow download button. If asked, click on ’Open with Archive Utility (default)’ and then click OK. The download might take a few minutes. You should not feel compelled to donate.

After the download completes, folders should automatically expand. If they don’t, double-click on the .tar file. When that’s done, you should see a folder named eclipse in your Downloads folder. When you open your Downloads folder, if you see Applications under the Favorites on the left side of the window, you should drag the eclipse folder into Applications. If you don’t see Applications, then open a new window for Applications (from the Finder, command-shift-A), and drag the eclipse folder into Applications.

Open your Applications folder, and then open the eclipse folder. You’ll see an item named Eclipse; if you like, drag its icon into the dock so that you’ll be able to launch Eclipse easily.

Launch Eclipse. If you’re asked whether you want to open it, of course you do; click Open. You’ll see a window like this:
It will have your user name rather than mine (scot). Select where you want your workspace to be; I recommend the default of your Documents folder. Click the checkbox for using this location as the default, and then click OK.

Click on the Workbench arrow in the upper right that I’ve circled. You shouldn’t see this screen again, even if you quit Eclipse and relaunch it.

We won’t be using the ’Task List’ and ’Connect Mylyn’ windows. Click the ’x’ on each to close it. Press the mouse on the Window menu item, then choose ’Perspective’, and finally choose ’Save Perspective as...’. Enter ’cs10’ for the name of this perspective and press return. Your workbench will now look like this:

You don’t have to configure Eclipse the way I do, but you’ll probably avoid some confusion if you do. Here’s how.

In the Eclipse menu bar, click on the Eclipse menu and then on ’Preferences...’. You’ll see a window with two panes. On the left pane is a list of types of things you can configure.

Click on the triangle to the left of General. Then click on the triangle to the left of Appearance. Then click on ’Colors and Fonts.’ You should see a window like this:

In the window in the middle, click on the triangle next to Java. Then double-click on ’Java Editor Text Font’:

You’ll see this window:
On the right, where you can select the size, click 12. Then close this window by clicking on the window’s close button.

Close up the General preferences by clicking on the triangle to the left of General. Click the triangle next to Java and then click the triangle next to ’Code Style.’ Then click Formatter. Here’s what you should see:

Click the button that says ’New...’. You’ll see a window such as this one:
You can type in any profile name you like. I used ’CS 10’:
